A few more pictures!!

Welcome back to our home!! Here are a few pictures of our living room, dining room, front door and an entry area. Enjoy!!

This is a shot looking from the former dining room into the former living room.

This is it now - stained concrete floors (thanks to Jody Wilson), the wall was torn out and EVERYTHING was painted!!! New lighting too!!

Our front door was red before - and I wanted to spice it up a bit. I painted it turquoise and the sanded it down to give it a distressed look. Added a "welcome" from Uppercase Living and called it done!!
This is what the front door & dining room looked like before.....
and after....
This is a little seating area beside the front door
I will have bathrooms & bedrooms soon!!! Until then....

a few house pics....

i told you that as soon as i found my camera dock, mi casa pics su casa pics. i don't think that's really a spanish phrase - but it's 12:23 am - so we'll pretend!!! we are leaving Childress at 7 am for Amarillo to fly to Alabama to for our Alan Jackson Aquapalooza - i'm getting really excited!! anyway, without further ado, here are some kitchen pictures. i thought i would start there and work my way around the house!!! i'll have more fun pics next week after we get back!! enjoy!!____________________________
this is sideways - sorry about this - but just turn your neck to the right quite a bit and you'll be able to see it like it should be!! we painted cabinets, textured walls, pulled out old counter tops & back splashes, replaced old wiring & pipes, replaced literally every appliance (thanks Lott Home Center!! you guys rock!!), repapered every cabinet, replaced every light (in the house actually)
- lots of hard work & man hours but.....

this first set of remodel pictures will be about the kitchen!!!

sink, dishwasher, window looks out to the backyard, half of kitchensecond half of kitchen, stove, fridge, ect.
this is above the stove where the green venta-hood once was - since there isn't very much room in kitchens to decorate without taking much need counter space - i opted to leave out the venta-hood and use the space for fun knick-knacks!! plus, a little bit of uppercase living on the wall & teapot. wall says "this home established in 2007" - teapot says "create"
this is above the fridge - just another spot for decorating. and a safe place for our wedding communion cup & plate (the green goblet)

when we get back i'll have pics of the trip & more of the house!! i hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into our home!!! stay tuned for more!!

July Events

I'll be honest. There are two big events coming up in July for this family.
1. 2nd anniversary (July 28)
2. The Big Trip

The Big Trip is something that I never thought I would win. I won an all inclusive trip to see Alan Jackson in Alabama!!!! I get to take the guest of my choice, so I figured I should take Zach. Probably a good choice huh!?! :)
We get to stay at this place and see & meet this guy and do this stuff!!!!
I'm pretty excited. BUT!! The best part of the trip is it comes just two days before our 2nd anniversary!!! Nothing better than having an awesome anniversary to go on for free!!!

who knows!!!

If we were in school, like a blogging school, I would be failing right now!!! I have gotten so lazy at blogging. I should be put in ISS for blogging and be made to write a clever and fun-to-read blog. But since there isn't this - you're stuck with the anticipation each day of thinking that I may have written something new. As you click on the link that leads you to me, you think "will I finally get to see pictures of their new house", or "will there be new pictures of Zoe?" or maybe "will she have anything new up yet?" Usually, the answer you get is "NOTHING NEW!!!"

Allow me to answer those first two questions for you please! When one moves they pack stuff - and in my case - I can't find the dock that my digital camera belongs too - therefore I can't upload any new pictures!!! Soon. Very Very Soon. Hopefully!!!

Have a blessed & safe celebration of the birth of our Nation!!!
