There are times in life that make us question. There are times in life that make us doubt. There are times in life that make us wonder. And then there are times in life that make us do all three. I think that I am in this time right now. I am amazed at how quickly I can slip into this particular time.
We went to see Dr. H yesterday to have our normal check up, sonogram for 28 weeks and the ever so delightful glucose tolerance test - YUM! :) Everything is looking good so far. Joah is measuring really long, but look at his 6' 4" Daddy!! He is weighing in at 3 lbs and is healthy and a wiggly worm and all that fun stuff.
However....isn't there always a however!?!
While the sonogram was being done our sono guy pays particular attention to the kidney area since Zoe had problems before and after birth and even into her first year of life with her kidneys. The last sonogram we didn't see anything but healthy kidneys. This time we saw healthy kidneys with a few extra things inside of them. So I don't bore you with details we are being sent to the same specialist we saw with Zoe in Amarillo for a level 2 sonogram. The radiologist and our dr wants to make sure that the "few extra things" aren't anything other than part of development.
Here's what I'm asking from you. Pray. Pray that the Lord's protection and hand will be over Joah's kidney's and will give our Dr in Amarillo clear vision to see what is there. I'm asking as Joah's Mom and the Mom to a daughter who has already gone through this.
It's not as scary this time, but it's still unnerving to not know what is ahead at the specialist and for our son. The Lord didn't give me a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind. And we must walk by faith and not by sight knowing that He has gone before this situation and He is still holding it together.
Thanks for listening/reading my ramblings. But most importantly thank you for praying for our baby boy.

hey momma.... you can count on me! I'll be praying for you and your sweet baby boy.
Ugh...it's so disheartening to start over with the same stuff that was so stressful before! Hang in there...no matter what God has in store for Joah, you'll be able to handle it! Praying for healthy kidneys and healthy baby boy!
Consider it done!
