Crazy Crafts

So, this week I've been ALL about crafts and making them, or finding them on a blog and doing my version of them. I want to share a few of them with you because I feel that they turned out pretty great, if I do say so myself. And I guess I did just say so myself, so there ya go! :)

Also, I pulled out my sewing machine that I got for Christmas {read Christmas 09} and I've done like 2 tiny projects but you won't be seeing those on here. Only a few select people have seen them...and that is how it will remain!! Once I practice a lot more, maybe those projects will make the blog. Maybe.

Here we go for this weeks stuff.

A wooden "D" that sits on our table was repurposed. Sporting a little design and a grey. i love it.

Next i bought some 3 dollar frames from Walmart and reused one I had, grabbed some felt and made some sweet little Valentine frames. a little love to the kitchen island.

this is a repurposed frame i had also. i put a blue piece of paper in and cut out our letters and voila! a master bath decoration was born!

This next baby is what I'm SUPER proud of! I found this here and LOVED it! I have made a part of this for 3 sets, but only completed one, as it took about 1 1/2 to do. this is burlap, mouse ears black paint from home depot, and some ribbon. all of the directions are on that blog
*which is my favorite craft resource at the moment!*
My FAVORITE part of this project is you don't use the typical "X" and "O", you use the first initial of each child's name. I changed it up a bit and added an "M" and "D" for the Mom and Dad, because I figured that we might just want to play too!! :) I LOVE it and can't wait to give as gifts!

Those are my projects this week, but I'm sure I'll be churning more out this next week!! Hoping you have a very Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Amy, love all the things you did! You are so much more ambitious than I! :)

I wanted to share a craft blog with you I think you will enjoy. It is my sister-in-law's sister (read, my brother's wife's sister), and she is super talented. In fact, you guys kind of remind me of each other in many ways, AND, she has kids almost the same age as yours...Hannah is 3 and Parker is 9 months. Her husband is a Christian counselor and she's a stay at home mommy so she's found ways to both save and make money with her crafts. The blog address is www.sometinytidbits.blogspot.com.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Really cute ideas. I love people that decorate for each holiday. I just remembered that the Christmas tree is still up and Ciara hasn't done her Valentines for tomorrows party... Yikes!! I wish I had known you were going to sew. I had tons of little girl patterns for Ciara that I tried to sell at a garage sale and couldn't so I threw them away. I have lots of doll clothes patterns and bigger girl patterns if you need to borrow some. I wish I had more time to sew and was more organized so I could get to my stuff more easily. Maybe in the summer.....
